What is the ṮEṮÁĆES Revitalization Project?

The ṮEṮÁĆES Revitalization Project was based around the question , “Whose Land is it?”. This question was examined in a series of 4 W̱SÁNEĆ led videos that documented the rich history of W̱SÁNEĆ Traditional Knowledge, their Cultural Resurgence and the protection of their homeland (their ÁLEṈENEȻ). The videos include, 1. SX̱IÁM,E TŦE ṮEṮÁĆES, an animated account of the origin story of ṮEṮÁĆES (Relatives of the Deep), 2. ĆELÁṈENs TŦE ṮEṮÁĆES, a longer film documenting the 5000 + year W̱SÁNEĆ presence in ṮEṮÁĆES and sharing ĆELÁṈEN — which is the W̱SÁNEĆ world view/birthright. Finally there are shorter videos documenting the W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples long association with two of he Southern Gulf Island; 3. S,DÁYES (Pender Island) and 4. SḴŦAḴ (Mayne Island).
